HobbyHarbor
Problem
over-specialized & boring
Most existing box subscription brands are based on a single, specific theme or product category. This has led to the market being very saturated with lots of competitors focusing on different niches.
Additionally, box subscriptions are infamous for shipping their customers temporarily interesting, yet ultimately useless items that quickly find their way to redundancy.
Solution
customizable & supports growth
HobbyHarbor flips the box subscription model by allowing customers to hand-pick their product categories.
Not only that - but they can choose up to 3, allowing for more of their hobbies to be served in a single order.
More importantly - instead of sending random trinkets, HobbyHarbor is a learning box. The items included with each order are geared towards building the customer’s skills in their selected hobbies.
Here’s how it works.
Customers choose 1-3 “Hobbies” for their monthly box to feature. For each, they select a “Grade” level which represents the level of existing skill they have. This ensures included items cater to their level of proficiency. When they’re done with them, they can optionally “ShipBack” applicable items to HobbyHarbor to be reused.
